Better Scheduling: Copy Assignments Along with Dispatches

We've expanded our existing dispatch copy functionality to include assigned inspector information. Previously,  you'd need to manually reassign inspectors when you copied a dispatch to a future date. Now you can copy both the dispatch and its assignments in one step.

When using the copy feature on a scheduled dispatch, you'll find a new checkbox option to 'Copy Assigned Inspectors'. When enabled, the system automatically recreates the inspector assignments for the new date. This maintains the same stop number sequence as if you had manually assigned them through the assignment window.

It also supports copying multiple selected dispatches simultaneously to the same target date, which preserves all assignment details across the batch. The system ensures proper stop number uniqueness for each inspector on each day to prevent scheduling conflicts.

This improvement saves time when planning recurring inspections or rescheduling work and eliminates the need to rebuild assignment schedules from scratch.
