Ability to Link Multiple Break Reports at One Time

You can now link multiple unlinked break reports simultaneously.

To use:

  1. Go to Break Reports > Unlinked Reports.
  2. Select multiple reports (check the boxes for each report you want to link).
  3. Click Link.
  4. Confirm the number of reports you're linking.
  5. The system creates all selected break reports at once.

Once linked, you can:

  • View individual report labels
  • View all reports together
  • Print all labels at once

Previously, you could only link one report at a time. This update allows you to process batches more efficiently.

Watch a video of this enhancement >

Why This Change Matters

  • Faster workflow – Link multiple unlinked reports in one action instead of one at a time.
  • Time savings – Especially valuable when processing large batches of test results.
  • Improved efficiency – Simplify your report preparation process.

Equipment Tracking Updates

We've added new features to give you more flexibility in tracking equipment maintenance and usage.

Usage-Based Calibration Schedules

In addition to time-based frequencies, you can now set calibration and maintenance schedules based on equipment usage (hours or miles).

To set up:

  1. Go to Equipment > Equipment Types and select a type.
  2. Create a new maintenance/calibration schedule based on usage.
  3. Set your usage interval (e.g., check every 100 hours) and notification threshold (e.g., remind 15 hours before).
  4. Select Save, and the schedule becomes available for all equipment of that type.

Log Equipment Usage from Three Locations

Track usage hours or miles from:

  • Equipment List – Select equipment and click Create New to log date and hours.
  • Scan In/Out Page – Log usage when scanning equipment in or out.
  • My Schedule – Navigate to Scheduling > My Schedule. Once on this page, you can use the button labeled "Log Equipment Usage" in the upper right corner to log any usage that happened.

Usage automatically aggregates and displays as a percentage on the Equipment List. Once equipment reaches the tolerance range, it appears on the 'Reminders' tab for upcoming maintenance.

Equipment Notes & File Attachments

You can now store notes and upload files (manuals, certificates, photos) directly to individual pieces of equipment for centralized documentation. To do so, navigate to 'Equipment' -> 'Search' and find the piece of equipment that you would like to work with. Once on the edit page for that piece of equipment, you will see a new tab labeled 'Notes'.

Watch video about these enhancements >

Why These Changes Matter

  • More accurate maintenance scheduling – Track calibration needs based on actual equipment usage, not just time elapsed
  • Improved compliance – Meet industry requirements for usage-based calibration intervals (ASTM, AASHTO standards)
  • Reduced downtime – Proactive reminders ensure equipment is serviced before it's overdue
  • Better cost management – Avoid over-maintaining equipment that sees light use
  • Centralized documentation – Keep all equipment records, manuals, and certificates in one place

Standard Test Presets for Lab Samples

We've added the ability to create and use standard test presets when creating new lab samples to eliminate repetitive data entry for commonly tested sample types. Instead of manually adding individual tests each time you create a sample, you can now select from predefined test combinations that automatically populate your test list.

When creating a new lab sample, you'll find a Presets option alongside the existing manual test selection methods. These presets contain predefined combinations of tests. For example, a 'Standard Soil Testing' preset might include Proctor, Sieve Analysis, and Atterberg Limits tests. You can create, edit, and manage these presets through a dedicated interface that allows unlimited tests per preset and drag-and-drop reordering.

The system intelligently handles preset application: if you're starting with a blank sample, the preset replaces empty rows. If you've already added some tests manually, the preset appends additional tests while avoiding duplicates of tests already present.

A preset management interface shows all available presets in a searchable list, with quick access to edit existing presets or create new ones. The preset editor includes drag handles for reordering tests and supports any number of test methods per preset.

Watch video about this enhancement >

Why This Matters

  • Reduces repetitive entry: Apply multiple standard tests with one click
  • Improves consistency: Ensures standard test combinations are used correctly
  • Saves time: No more adding individual tests for common sample types
  • Flexible application: Works with both blank samples and partially filled forms
  • Prevents duplicates: Automatically skips tests already added to the sample
  • Easy management: Create and edit presets as your testing requirements evolve

Mark Specimens as Reserve in Daily Breaks

We've added the ability to mark individual specimens as reserves directly from the 'Daily Breaks' page to give you more control over which cylinders appear in your daily break schedule. Previously, if a specimen wasn't ready for breaking or needed to be held for future testing, you'd have to manage this through other parts of the system.

When viewing Daily Breaks under Break Reports, you can now expand any specimen row and find a new 'Mark as Reserve' button. When clicking this button, users get a confirmation modal explaining that marking the specimen as reserve will remove it from today's break listing. Once confirmed, the specimen disappears from the daily break list and the drawer closes automatically.

The system also updates the warning indicators at the top of the page, including the missed breaks count and the red triangle showing outstanding breaks for the day. This ensures your break tracking remains accurate after reserving specimens.

If you need to unreserve a specimen later, you can edit the specimen set and uncheck the reserve status to return it to the active break schedule.

Watch video about enhancement >

Why This Matters

  • Flexible scheduling: Remove specimens from daily breaks without deleting them
  • Accurate tracking: Automatically updates break counts and warning indicators
  • Quick action: Mark reserves directly from the daily break list without navigation
  • Reversible process: Easily unreserve specimens when ready for testing
  • Clean interface: Reserved specimens no longer clutter your active break schedule

Approval Filter Added to Nuclear Density Report Summaries

We’ve updated the Nuclear Density Asphalt Testing and Nuclear Density Soil Testing report summaries with a helpful new filter option.

You’ll now see a checkbox labeled “Exclude data that has not yet been approved”. When selected, this filter will limit the report to only include field reports that have been approved, giving you cleaner and more reliable data for review or export.

This filter also applies to Excel exports so that your downloaded data matches what you see on screen.

Enjoy more control and better clarity now!

Copy Distribution Emails to Clipboard

We've added a convenient way to extract distribution email lists from your projects for use in external email applications like Outlook. Instead of manually copying individual email addresses, you can now copy entire distribution lists to your clipboard with a single click.

This new copy button appears in two key locations: the Distribution tab on the Project Edit page and within Distribution Modals for Field Reports, Break Reports, and Lab Reports. When you click the copy button, the system confirms how many email addresses were copied to your clipboard, and you can immediately paste them into any email application.

This feature is particularly useful when you need to send project updates or communications outside of the system while maintaining the same distribution list you've already configured in your project settings.

The copied emails are formatted and ready to paste directly into the recipient field of your preferred email client, saving time and reducing the chance of missing important stakeholders in your communications.

Watch video about enhancement >

Why This Matters

  • Saves time: Copy entire distribution lists instead of individual email addresses
  • Reduces errors: Eliminates manual transcription mistakes when building recipient lists
  • Works anywhere: Paste copied emails into Outlook, Gmail, or any email application
  • Maintains consistency: Use the same distribution lists you've already configured
  • Multiple access points: Available from project settings and report distribution modals

Manage your proctors more efficiently with importing

You may be familiar with adding proctors to a project. We've made it easier to import proctor tests that you have performed as a proctor for the project.

Starting from the Project screen, click on the 'Add New Proctor' button. (This part has not changed.)

You will notice there is now an Import button. You can now pull in test data for your project proctors.

You will see a list of lab proctor tests to select from. Choose the test you want to import, then click Import.

We hope this saves you time and effort in managing your project proctors!

New Feature: Combine Multiple Tests into One Summary Report

We’re excited to introduce a powerful new way to streamline your reporting process: combine data from multiple lab tests into a single, easy-to-read summary report.

Many tests are performed together or in sequence as part of a standard testing battery. Instead of generating separate reports for each test, you can now group them and present the results in one consolidated document.

Why this matters:
✅ Save time by reducing the number of individual reports
✅ Simplify communication with clients and stakeholders
✅ Create a clear, professional summary of related test data

Example Use Case:
When testing aggregates, you may perform gradation analysis, moisture content, and specific gravity tests to evaluate the sample. Instead of sending three separate reports, now you can combine all results into one clear, professional summary report for your clients.

In action:

From a Lab Sample page (Dashboard > Samples > Sample # 12345), click the + in the Forms section.

This will bring up the Add Form window. Here you can select the type of summary report you wish to create.

From here, you can build a report which displays the relevant test data by selecting the Associated Tests you'd like to display on the report.

Log in today and start creating combined summary reports!

New! Copy Dispatch from Weekly View

We've extended the dispatch copy functionality to the Weekly view, making it easier to duplicate scheduling without switching between different calendar views. Previously, you could only copy dispatches from the daily view.

Each dispatch card in the Weekly view now includes a copy icon in the upper right corner. Clicking this icon opens the same copy modal you're familiar with from the daily view, where you can select the target date and choose whether to include assigned inspector information.

When you copy a dispatch within the same week you're currently viewing, the new dispatch card appears immediately with the appropriate status color: blue for pending dispatches versus green for completed ones. This visual feedback confirms the copy was successful.

The feature maintains all the same functionality as the daily copy process, including the ability to copy inspector assignments and proper stop number sequencing.

Watch video of enhancement >

Benefits

  • Faster workflow: Copy dispatches without leaving the weekly planning view
  • Better visibility: See copied dispatches immediately if they fall within the current week
  • Consistent experience: Same copy modal and options as daily view
  • Visual confirmation: Color-coded status shows pending vs. completed dispatches
  • Complete functionality: Includes assignment copying and all existing copy features
